I was commissioned to create a large mobile called ‘Spring’ for Otto Ristorante on Woolloomooloo Wharf in Sydney. Thanks to this subject matter I felt liberated to use a gleeful palette of pink, yellow and new growth green. The mobiles were inspired by imagined exotic blooms, with extravagant, large petals and big lush leaves. This was a truly enjoyable and experimental creative process, and I hope that my happy experience is reflected in the final work.

The eight stainless steel and paper mobiles in ‘Spring’ are joined together as one large mobile, with large stainless steel cross pieces made by Matt Crawford of Crawford’s Casting.
