Winter Solstice

At twilight on the shortest day of the year I installed paper sculptures in the upper reaches of the Lane Cove River. The sculptures were lit by candles, their reflections captured in the still water. The installation had a sense of peacefulness as the darkness slowly settled in the valley, the golden sculptures intensified, their reflections becoming more dramatic.
